The picture below shows the dramatic effect that the sun’s rays have had on the conventional paint after only 2 ½ years of exposure. At the time of application, both colors matched identically. Now, the darker colored conventional paint has changed by ∆E = 6.40 as compared to a change in COOLWALL® of only ΔE = 0.96. The lighter colored conventional paint has changed by ΔE = 5.67 as compared to a change in COOLWALL® of only ΔE = 0.71. “Delta E (ΔE)” is a unit of measure that calculates and quantifies the difference between two colors – a test sample and a standard.  A Delta E of less than 1.0 is considered as undetectable by the average human eye.
