Textured Coatings of America, Inc. (TEX•COTE®) was recently presented with the Robert Aiken Innovation Award from the Tilt-Up Concrete Association at their annual meeting and awards ceremony in Las Vegas, NV. This award recognizes companies and products for pioneering contributions that advance the art of tilt-up construction. The Tilt-Up Concrete Association is a group of dedicated contractors, professionals, and manufacturers with the interest of improving the quality and acceptance of tilt-up construction.

The TEX•COTE® COOLWALL® system is a revolutionary coating system that incorporates heat reflective technology that reflects the sun’s infrared energy and UV radiation, lowering wall surface temperatures by as much as 40-degrees Fahrenheit even in darker-colors. Reduced surface temperatures also means less expansion and contraction stress on the coating due to thermal cycling, extending the product life cycle tremendously. Increased reflectivity and extended product life cycle translate into a reduction in the carbon footprint, making COOLWALL® a true “green” exterior coating that has a positive affect on sustainability for future generations.
