TEX•COTE® in the News Worldwide

Stuart Haines, President of TEX•COTE®

Did you know TEX•COTE® products have been making headlines worldwide? We continue to be featured in publications such as Coatings Pro Magazine, Coatings World, Paint & Coatings Industry (PCI), and other influential sources that discuss the quality and durability of TEX•COTE® products for a variety of projects. In this week’s blog, we review a few of the respected news sources that feature our products on some of the most renowned projects.

TEX•COTE® Stories Worldwide

Withstanding Hurricane Irma. Coatings Pro Magazine reports on Hurricane Irma’s impact on the 17 Street Causeway Bridge in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. They state that because the bridge was coated with TEX•COTE® products, it “…withstood the intense winds and rain brought on by Hurricane Irma despite the damage the massive hurricane caused to scores of other structures statewide.” Textured Coatings of America, Inc. is proud to offer products that have the ability to withstand even the harshest weather conditions.

Making History with Howard Hughes’ Aircraft. Do you remember the Spruce Goose? Howard Hughes built the aircraft in 1945 in Playa Vista, California. Even though it only made it in the air for a short time, it was stored in West Los Angeles on exhibit. Coatings World released an article about preserving the building that housed the iconic aircraft. They note, “Now, that historic hangar is being refurbished and protected using products by TEX•COTE®, a leading nationwide manufacturer of Infrared heat reflective architectural coatings.” The story is so popular it was also featured internationally.

Mississippi River Memories. Paint & Coatings Industry announced the work performed on the bridge that crosses through the Mississippi River. PCI explains, “TEX•COTE® products were used for the new I-90 Mississippi River Bridge, which consists of a pair of bridges over the Mississippi River that connect the area of La Crosse, Wisconsin, to Winona County, Minnesota.” There were thousands of gallons sold to Rainbow Inc., the painting contractor for this specific project, and Courtland LLC, the TEX•COTE® distributor for this specific project. Our products also use special ingredients that protect bridges from water and preserve the bridges over time.
