ADVANTAGES
TEXCOTE¨ CURE & SEAL helps to control the slow, natural wet cure of concrete that reduces shrinkage of concrete and prevents surface crazing caused by rapid drying.
On concrete floors or slabs a durable, hard, acid and alkali resistant film is developed. This film helps to seal out many types of stains, oils, and detergents, thus making clean up easier. The concrete achieves a slight gloss or sheen. TEXCOTE¨ CURE & SEAL can be used for interior or exterior concrete floors or slabs.
SURFACE PREPARATION (OLD CONCRETE)
To seal and dust proof old concrete, the surface should be cleaned by waterblasting, sandblasting or whatever means necessary to remove dirt, dust, laitance, oil and grease. Etching of surface to remove oil or grease may be necessary. Rinse thoroughly.
If additional coats of TEXCOTE¨ CURE & SEAL are required due to porosity, allow 24 hours between coats.
APPLICATION
Mix thoroughly before using. Application on dry concrete can be made by brush, roller or spray. On freshly poured concrete, apply by conventional airless spray or garden type pressure sprayer. Freshly poured concrete must be allowed to flash dry until the surface is damp but there is no free standing water. Apply uniformly at the recommended rate of coverage and brush out or squeegee any puddles that may form in low spots.
PRECAUTIONS
Contains petroleum distillate - DANGER! Flammable. Harmful or fatal if swallowed. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Call physician immediately. Keep away from heat, sparks, and open flame. Avoid prolonged contact with skin and breathing of vapor or spray mist. If adequate ventilation is not available, use a respirator type OSHA regulation 29CFR1910.134. In case of contact with eyes, wash with water for 15 minutes and call physician.
