TEX•COTE¨ TEX•BOND
CEMENT ADHESIVE

TCA's cement adhesive, TEX•BOND, is a pure acrylic/latex resin system specially formulated to strengthen the tensile, compressive and adhesive properties of cement and stucco mixes at the time of preparation. Additives to control set time, longer wet edge and reduce air pockets in this system ensure a high quality performing, one package product. TCA's TEX•BOND will withstand high alkaline conditions.

TEX•BOND RECOMMENDED USES

  1. Patching cement plaster, concrete and most masonry surfaces.
  2. Parging over masonry blocks or eroded cement plaster.
  3. An additive to mortar mixes requiring increased strength.

CLEAN UP/CONTAINERS/STORAGE

  1. Wet material on surfaces or equipment, use water to clean up.
  2. Dry material on surfaces or equipment, use xylene or toluene.
  3. 1 gallon plastic jugs (4 per case) 5 gallon lined pails
  4. Store upright and air tight in dry place, above 45¡F and 100¡F. AVOID FREEZING PRODUCT.

SURFACE PREPARATION/GENERAL

  1. Remove all loose material from area.
  2. Vee out cracks.
  3. Dampen areas with water.

APPLICATION OF TEX•BOND

  1. Apply with brush, spray or roller to areas being patched.
  2. Over dampened surface, using suitable tool such as trowel, apply stucco or cement patch containing TEX•BOND at recommended formulation shown below.
    Note: It is not necessary for areas primed with Tex•Bond to dry before applying patch. Patch will be set within 2 to 4 Hours with good drying.

STARTING FORMULATIONS USING TEX•BOND

STUCCO PATCH - 5 GALLON MIX:








Stucco patch..........50 lbs.
TEX•BOND........1/2 gallon
Water as needed for proper consistency

CEMENT OR PARGE - 20 GALLON MIX:








Cement...............100 lbs.
Sand.................250 lbs.
TEX•BOND.........3 1/2 gallons
Water as needed for proper consistency

LIMITATIONS

  1. Avoid freezing product.
  2. Do not apply when rain is imminent or under freezing conditions.
  3. Temperature at application shall be above 45¡F & not exceeding 100¡F
  4. Store and use as described herein.
