TEX•COTE¨ SNO•TEX
FOR PEA GRAVEL ROOF

SNO•TEX is an acrylic copolymer latex roof coating reinforced with fiberglass, mineral fibers, titanium dioxide and extenders. The bright white finish reflects the infrared heat rays of the sun during summer and helps reduce room temperatures. Protection from the sun's ultraviolet rays will extend the life of the roof.

SNO•TEX IS RECOMMENDED OVER

Pitched asphalt-based roofs with pea gravel.

SURFACE PREPARATION

Roof should be in good condition. Any blisters, cracks, leaks and defects should be repaired according to proper roofing procedures. Repairs should be allowed to cure a minimum of 7 days under ideal weather conditions. Broom off all excess granules and rework so that particles touch particles with no excess. Dampen surface by lightly spraying with water and proceed with application of SNO•TEX per recommendation.

Note: Care must be taken not to rupture the roof via foot traffic or equipment during surface preparation and application.

APPLICATION OF SNO•TEX

  1. Dampen surface by lightly spraying with water. Do not saturate or leave pools of water.
  2. Dilute SNO•TEX with equal volume of water and spray with low pressure at approximately 100 sq. ft. per gallon. Allow to dry 2-4 hours.
  3. Spray second coat of Sno•Tex with no dilution at approximately 50 sq. ft. per gallon.

LIMITATIONS

  1. Do not apply when surface is saturated or where pools of liquid or frozen water are present.
  2. Do not apply if rain is imminent. Do not apply if temperature is 45¡F and falling or at temperatures above 100¡F.
  3. Avoid storing SNO•TEX under freezing conditions.
  4. DO not use SNO•TEX as a repair system for leaks. Use appropriate roofing procedures.
