I. PRODUCT

RAINSTOPPER¨ No. 300 clear is an acrylic/latex sealer designed for use over unpainted surfaces for both interior and exterior masonry which require sealing. RAINSTOPPER¨ No. 300 is especially effective where the fumes associated with solvent systems would be prohibitive.

RECOMMENDED OVER UNTREATED SURFACES
Concrete, Tilt-up
Concrete, Precast
Concrete, Cast-in-place
Concrete, Panels
Concrete, Architectural
Other surfaces, contact TCA
Caution: Masonry surfaces must cure a minimum of 28 days prior to applying RAINSTOPPER¨ 300.

DRYING & CURING TIMES
To Touch: 1 hour, approximately
Final Cure: 4 hours, minimum
Note: Drying times are based on ideal weather conditions. THINNING NOT RECOMMENDED.

EQUIPMENT RECOMMENDATIONS
Airless spray unit, low pressure (20-25 p.s.i.) for maximum penetration.
Suitable for application by roller or brush.

CLEAN UP/CONTAINER SIZE/STORAGE

  1. Clean up wet material with water; dry material with xylol, or MEK.
  2. 5 gallon containers, 30/55 gallon drums.
  3. Store in dry place at temperatures of 45¡F not exceeding 100¡F. Lids must be kept tightly sealed.
Do not allow moisture to enter containers.

II. SURFACE PREPARATION

All surfaces must be sound, clean and dry prior to application of RAINSTOPPER¨ No. 300. Such surface contaminants as dust, dirt, mildew, form oils, loose substrate, laitance, etc. shall be removed prior to application.

ESTIMATED APPLICATION RATES
RAINSTOPPER¨ No. 300 shall be applied at approximately 200-250 square feet per gallon, depending on porosity or roughness of surface. Porosity of surface must be satisfied to meet specifications of product.

III. APPLICATION OF RAINSTOPPER¨ NO. 300

RAINSTOPPER¨ No. 300 shall be applied only over properly prepared, clean, dry vertical surfaces, cured a minimum of 28 days.

RAINSTOPPER¨ No. 300 can be used as a one coat system as long as the porosity of the surface is entirely satisfied, within the specified application rates herein.

Apply as heavily as possible, without rundowns or sags.
To minimize lapmarks, immediately go back over surface with fog coat so entire surface is uniformly wet. When spraying large areas, use single direction passes, leathering out to reduce overlap marks. Establish a breakline conforming to surface design breaks where possible, such as panel edge, seam or corner. Spray convenient size areas, cutting into wet feathered edges while moving along surface.
Application temperature shall be 45¡F and rising and not exceeding 100¡F. Avoid freezing. If brushing or rolling, use same techniques and avoid overlapping finished dry areas.

IV. LIMITATIONS OF RAINSTOPPER¨ NO. 300
