TEX•COTE¨ PRIMERS
NO. 62 AND NO. 300

From its line of special purpose primers, TCA presents two: Primer No. 62, a penetrating, oil base that provides long lasting weathering and mildew resistance to successive top coats -- and Primer No. 300, a water base epoxy modified, fast drying acrylic providing both alkali and moisture resistance with excellent adhesion, formulated for interior or exterior purposes. TCA will supply technical data sheets on their other special purpose primer systems.

RECOMMENDED OVER

Primer No. 62
Masonry, Brick, Plaster, Wood
Seals previously painted surface of varying porosity where drastic color differences require an additional primer for opacity. Primer No. 300
Masonry, Old Paint Surfaces
For interiors and certain specified exteriors, contact TCA R&D . Not for bare wood.

All surfaces shall be properly prepared prior to priming.

APPLICATION RATES

Primer No. 62
200-400 square feet per gallon, depending upon surface porosity and type of substrate. Thinning: If required for proper application, add a maximum of one pint per gallon of mineral spirits.

Primer No. 300
200-250 sq. ft. per gallon, depending upon surface porosity and type of substrate. No thinning required.

CAUTION: Temperature shall be 45'F and rising and under 100¡F for application. AVOID FREEZING PRODUCT. See DRYING/CURING/EXPOSURE TIMES.

RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT

Both primers may be applied by conventional spray equipment, roller or brush.

DRYING/CURING/EXPOSURE TIMES

Primer No. 62

 To Touch: 2-3 hours, minimum
Recoating: 24 hours, minimum
 Exposure: 4 weeks, maximum

If exposed to ultraviolet more than 4 weeks, surface must be re-primed.

Primer No. 300

 To Touch: 1/2 hours, approximately
Recoating: 8 hours, minimum
 Exposure: 2 weeks, maximum

If exposed to ultraviolet more than 2 weeks, surface must be re-primed.

CLEAN UP/CONTAINER SIZE/SHELF LIFE

Primer No. 62
