TEX•COTE® 2009 COOLWALL® Symposium features Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.

On February 6, 2009, Textured Coatings of America, Inc. held its 2009 COOLWALL® Symposium at the Wynn Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event highlighted the environmental benefits of TEX•COTE®'s green exterior wall coating system, COOLWALL®.
• Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., a leading environmental activist, lawyer, and author, gave the keynote address on sustainability.
• Andre Desjarlais, Group Leader at the U.S. Department of Energy's Oak Ridge National Laboratories, followed with a presentation on the benefits of "Cool" walls and the U.S. Department of Energy's testing of TEX•COTE®'s COOLWALL® system.
• Ed Sauter, Executive Director of the Tilt-Up Concrete Association, presented Jay Haines, TEX•COTE®'s President and CEO, with the "All-Time Top Tilt-Up Projects" award.
• Jay Haines gave a presentation on the advantages of COOLWALL®'s patented FADE BLOCK&tm; technology followed by a module on "IR Heat Reflective Coatings" that gave eligible architects in attendance the chance to earn one AIA CES learning unit.
